That's more complex than what I'm trying to do and I don't think I need to do that for zope.pipeline, so I'm going to withdraw from that part of the discussion for now.
If you can make progress without doing so now, by all means. I think we do need to get back to this though eventually. It'd be bad to pull in code that actually doesn't get used when you use zope.pipeline. Regards, Martijn
