Dear Timothy - I was away for a couple of days and I just got your message. If you need session management for a production site and you have a relational database talking to Zope I suggest using SQLSession which has been in use longer. If the FSSession is in your acquisition path then you should be able to access it from any child folder. I will try to replicate your set up and check whether there is a bug in FSSession or not.
