Ah yes, some earlier zope 2.7 versions had that problem ... And at some point, python 2.3.4 and then 2.3.5 became the recommended python versions. So you're probably somewhere between 2.7 and 2.7.3 ... 2.7.4 prefers python 2.3.4. You can always do a "grep -r "2.7" *" from the root of your Zope installation, see if it's in there somewhere? I believe there is a VERSION.txt file, but it probably is the containing the bad version identifier.
