Hi Ruslan, When I read some discussions concerning Xron it seems that I am the only one who uses Xron successfully in a production environment. I have tried to get it running for a long time, and believe me, it never did. Then I recognized that I have set the wrong rights or something else that I don't remember these days. Since then Xron runs as it should and I did never experience any anomalies. I run Xron on a linux box with Zope 2.5.1 binary distribution. Today I have installed Xron on a SuSE Linux 8.0, Zope 2.6.0 (final, source), Python 2.1.3 box and it keeps running without any problems (until now). And without any patches or changes. When I read those comments from other people in the Zope community I think more reliable is the cron+wget way of life. But why not Xron, just test it, it can be very easy to use, because it's inetrgation into the ZMI. If you are interested in the jmeile's Xron patch (better interface for start and frequency of events), look at: http://www.zope.org/Members/jmeile/Xron_improvements HTH, Jürgen --On Freitag, 25. Hello zope users,
Could anybody experienced with Xron tell me if it is stable or it's better to use cron + wget?
