Peter Thanks for the help. I tried manage and manage_main since some docs said one and some the other. If I can see the list of folders down the left side after typing my password doesn't that mean I am logged in? What is a definitive way to verify if I can logged into ZMI or just browsing ZMI pages? I set zope to run as non-root user seberino. I logged into ZMI as seberino and all seems ok. It sounds to me like you are not logged into the zmi, the zmi gives you a massive add list ... To get to the ZMI put manage on the end of the URL. Ie localhost/manage

I'm trying to follow the directions on how to change the Plone JPEG logo and had a question about a snag...
When i log into ZMI I can only "Add" a very restricted set of types everywhere. e.g. I can't add content of type Images.....just Archetypes Content, Plone Conent, some CMF stuff.
Any help greatly appreciated.
