[Zope] converting spaces in dtml-var to something else

Hi all, Does anyone know the syntax to convert a space in a string variable to something else? I've looked at the attribute "spacify", but that only convert underscores to spaces. What i want to do is to convert all spaces in a string to a "+" sign. Thanks for any suggestions. -- Mike
