[Zope] Successfully implemented international characters in Zope 2.4?

Hi there, Has anyone successfully implemented international characters in Zope 2.4? I need to manage web content that's in Japanese, so need to be able to take Japanese text that's copied-and-pasted into a textarea (in Internet Explorer), store it in the ZODB somehow and return it in DTML or ZPT pages. I tried to install the Unicode patch from zope.org, but my hunks of patching failed.
