If anyone has gotten PyExpat to compile, we could have a win32 binary release. The version that we're using is just a CVS checkout; eventually we hope to use the release.
We don't plan on abandoning windows, but without a windows PyExpat our plan is to look at windows after we've released the unix version.
I have a copy of PyExpat.py compiled from the beta 3 release. What would you like me to do with it? I can mail it to anyone who wants, or make it available for downloads.
I needed to change pyexpat.c very slightly as the export definitions for initpyexpat seem to be a bit messed up, and I built some Microsoft project files, but otherwise no changes were needed.
