I have just installed zope on my FreeBSD box. The problem is that it's dryving me crazy. It's very complex. Is there a source of documentation like the one we can see (for instance) for MySQL. Zope documentation is very poor, why?

Have you read the Zope Book? How about the help system? What about the developer's guide? What, specifically, about the documentation is poor? How can we improve it?

Another question that's catching my hears: Why is zope not written in C? Any kind of server tools should be coded in C, isn't it?
