I looked at the code of "compilezpy.py" (maybe, you do the same). It might help when you comment out the line "sys.stdout = Shutup()" If not, you want to catch the case when "compileall.compile" returns "False" for the first time and output the failing directory. In that directory, you can then look for missing "*.pyc" files. -- Dieter
