Thanks Lalo. I summed up what I've guessed into "Voodoo Kludge Splitter.py" announced yesterday in the Zope main list and available at http://www.zope.org/Members/kslee/VoodooKludgeSplitter. Going beyond for me seems quite hard. I'll be gladly waiting comments.

I assume you can get around in Python? If not I can point you to some good starting material and I'd be glad to answer questions. I'm in Brazil and a better splitter is a real necessity (and I'll probably be running yours by the end of the day). Count on me to continue development and support you.
