[Zope] Reg External methods

hi all, i am new to zope and am using external methods to call an exe file( say for example winword.exe). i also need to pass vlaues to the same. but whenever i invoke(thru DTML) or test the external method from inside zope, i can see an instance of the application getting started (in the process tab of the task manager) but am not able to see the application window (eg., in our case, a blank word doc) I am using winxp. Is this a problem with Zope or the operating system? If the problem is with zope, what settings do I need to change? Thx for the help.
