To add to this question, is there any way (or could a way be hacked together) to allow editing of files on the command line instead of through the web? It'd be nice to check pages out, edit pages in emacs, and check them back in a la CVS.
I haven't tested this, but a quick search on <http://www.freshmeat.net/> searching for WebDAV turned up this little gem: <http://www.webdav.org/cadaver/> "cadaver is a command-line WebDAV client for Unix. It supports file upload, download, on-screen display, namespace operations (move/copy), collection creation and deletion, and locking operations." Maybe this can be used along with standard UNIX shell redirects alongside vi or Emacs? -- George M.
