I installed Zope from source on a Solaris box without any problem ; if you installed Python from source also, there is just a few parameters to take care of while configuring Python compilation for "Big Files" to be supported correctly. But another thing that you should do on a dual processor Solaris box is to assign your Zope instance to a given CPU using "pbind" (eventually assigning a ZEO client on the second CPU) ; take a look at "http://www.zope.org/Members/glpb" to learn more about this...
