If you were going to create a Web site for a high school science department (the coolest such Web site every conceived :-), how would you utilize Zope?
The Zope Portal Toolkit will be really useful for this, methinks. As much as possible, everything should be collaborative. The students should be able to submit things for the main page and possibly have areas where they can put their own things. What kinds of things? - Science-related news (your own custom science weblog) - Links to cool, relevant websites (eg http://www.howstuffworks.com) - Results from group experiments - Photos, etc. from previous classes (If you have a digital camera, it would be easy to get pictures to put up there) You can also put up some tools for helping the students calculate things that might be useful in their experiments. (There may already be some Javascript tools out there, or you can easily create these in Zope using DTML or python). Have fun!
