I shouldn't think it is, because it's been running like this for quite some time, and no problems. the reason i use 2.2.2 is that httpsconnection before 2.2.2 doesn't work with microsoft IIS. fsrefs.py seems to think that the objects are missing, but, my Data.fs hasn't changed in size, so i would tend to think that they're still hiding in there somewhere.

That's a version mismatch. Zope 2.5.1 is not officially approved with Python 2.2.2 by Zope Corp. It *should* work but has not been widely tested. The only recommended version is 2.1.3.
I have no idea if this is related to your problem...
