[Zope] how to set permissions on zope objects?

i have created a few odjects in Zope and i need them to work for everybody. right now only the superuser (me) can use them. i have tried to change the permissions but even though the permissions look ok it doesn't work. maybe i just don't understand the permissions. what do they have to be set to to make the objects available to all? also, inheritance doesn't seem to be working on anything. why? thanks in advance. -<mike>-
