This is the correct (albeit quiet) behavior... Just point your browser at your machine:port, and you'll see Zope. (Hint: I've noticed that you get the "program loading" cursor [the arrow with the little hourglass] when Zope is initializing. When Zope is done, it goes back to the standard arrow cursor.) I installed Python 1.5.2 and then beta 6 of Zope 2.0 on my Windows 98 box. Everything seemed to install fine, but Zope won't start up properly for me. I run start.bat and can see that it calls z2.py, but then it just hits the hard disk for a while and then sits there.
I had Zope 1 running fine before this, and when it ran it sent various status messages to the Python window. Now, however, I never get any status messages, nor do I get returned to a prompt. It is like it starts and then just freezes before it gets anywhere.
Note: I did uninstall Zope 1 before installing Zope 2.
