[Zope] disable login

Anyone know a neat way disable login? I want to stop people logging in so I can upload new versions and stuff without them editing content while I'm at it. I can log in at a higher level than they can; a general method for programmatically making parts of the ZODB tree effectively read only is what I'm after.
