Well, my £0.02 says to leave well alone. The thought of a list completely inhabited by new users (don't you just hate the term newbies?) fills me with dread.
Most of the experienced users wouldn't bother subscribing, after all they've heard the questions and the answers a million times before!
If we must split then I agree with Brian here, no 'newbies' list.
