I would take a look at my vmware configuration. You probably have too little swap space configured - it looks like your vmware zope instance is spending a lot of time doing something very time consuming ie disk i/o possibly with a lot of thrashing - try to see if the disk light is on almost continuously. It was the first start, I hope that now it will be faster :-)
