When I click into Control Panel, and click restart or shutdown button, it doesn't work and post an error message. Why?

I am using 2.4.3 from source release, python 2.1.1, and linux system. Is it because I remove the Zope Quickstart folder?
No. Probably it's because you have the wrong file rights for your process, and the process can't write to the log file.
