Some people call me "Tim" too. :-) Try adding the following to your ZClass add method: <dtml-call "REQUEST.set('ts', ZopeTime())"> <dtml-call "REQUEST.set('id', _.str(_.int(ts)))"> This will use the ZopeTime() as the id of your instance.
