So you're probably somewhere between 2.7 and 2.7.3 ... 2.7.4 prefers python 2.3.4.
You can always do a "grep -r "2.7" *" from the root of your Zope installation, see if it's in there somewhere?
I believe there is a VERSION.txt file, but it probably is the containing the bad version identifier.
