[Zope] problem in installing zope in Linux

Hi, Do i need to install Zope in root directory of Linux ?. Otherthing is, is Zope Linux Kernal dependent ?,B'coz The Zope which was installed for one kernal version of Linux doesn't get installed in the other Kernal version. when i give ./install it says ../zope-dir/bin/python is not a file or directory. What may be the problem. please throw some light. The zope version is 2.2.5 Thanks, jacintha
