[Zope] ZSearch not searching hard enough

hi, i have set up a ZCatalog to index one particular ZClass. the ZClass is basically a DTML Document with some extra properties. I have set up the ZSearch interface and the ZCatalog correctly and it works nicely when searching some of the properties but not at all for others. for example, i can search by the "Author" property but searching on ID always returns nothing even when i know the ID exists. there are 14 indexes in the catalog and they all contain the right number of objects when i look at the ZCatalog's Status tab. so why doesn't the search return these? thanks -<mike>-
