I'm guessing, but suspect the problem is that you are using Expander on a Mac which assumes they are being unstuffed to be used on a Mac (normally a pretty good assumption). I'd try FTPing them to your server in compressed form and then unstuffing them there. If you like Expander and are using a Windows Server, you will be happy to know it is also available for Windows 3.1, 9x, and NT and can deal with many arhived formats.
