[Zope] Very, very, very n00bie question

Hi, I'm moving from Apache/PHP/PERL to Zope/Python. I have a lot of books and URLs about Python, but i can't find any relevant information about the interaction of Zope/Python. This is to say i don't know how to access and treat data from Zope with Python. Is there some kind of an API for Python/Zope interaction ? Does anyone has some useful links about this tandem ?
