OK, on to the discussion. Are those numbers *really* accurate? I gotta
My biggest beef with the numbers is that the poll is missing the most obvious category. Pre-built Lego style interoperable modules that you can just install and then have them automagically work together on a site. If the module is there it shows up in the site structure, if it isn't, there is no trace of it. Oh yes ... and a smart way to syndicate stuff. As far as I can see soon we will all have our own personal portal for various reasons. (Big ego's being one). At the same time I see all the major portals crosslinking excessively to each other. All off them having their own articles and discussions around one "source" article. It ought to be easy to be a syndicator of both articles and comments, so that articles and comments from several sites will be synchronized automagically. And while we are at it we should make it easy for all Zope products to do this. Calendars would also be easily sync'able then. Well anyway ... I am currently planning/building both of the above, I'll get back when the code is sound. Regards Max M
