Just found from "The Project Gutenberg Etext of The 1913 Webster Unabridged Dictionary Version 0.50 Letters X, Y, Z and The "New Words" supplement" at ftp://ftp.datacanyon.com/pub/gutenberg/etext96/pgw050xz.txt: <p><hw>Zope</hw> (?), <pos><i>n.</i></pos> [G.] <i>(Zoöl.)</i> <def>A European fresh-water bream (<i>Abramis ballerus</i>).</def></p> So Zope appears to be a fish made from a serpent, though Jim Fulton once said that Zope was meaningless, iirc. Reminds me of "Lego" chosen for meaninglessness later found to be meaningfull in Latin. LEE, Kwan Soo.
