Well, you don't need to read anything. You can actually SEE the data exchange.
If you are on Linux, download and install "ethereal". Run it to capture network traffic on http port. Study and enjoy.
If you are on Windows, there's "Sniffer" (expensive commercial software) and I think there are some some shareware programs that can capture network traffic, but I don't know their names.
