[Zope] ZCatalog problems

Hello, I can't seem to convince ZCatalog to index my entire database. It is only cataloging items in the root folder. How do I convince it to go through each child folder? I've gone through the HOW-TO tutorial, but I'm still stuck. thanks, Luke
