Sorry if this is an obvious question, but why is there another Beta version of Zope 2.6.2 released, when there is already a 2.7.0 alpha release?
What do you mean with your question? Both releases are completely unrelated.
Yes, I know that the difference it's the installation process. I ask because as I understand, a supperior release it's supposed to fix bugs on previous releases, but on this case, 2.7.0a1 doesn't have the bug fixes included in 2.6.2b4, so you can't install the latest release on a production server. So, why isn't a next version of 2.7.0 released instead of one of 2.6.2? Won't be the installation process introduced in 2.7.0a1 (separation of zope binaries from configuration files and products) the standard for next releases?
