When you have been offending traffic rules the last time (parking your car inappropriately maybe) you would have been rather unhappy when you where treated as an outlaw by the rest of the traffic members. If you offend traffic rules in a way that actually threatens the existence of the community of traffic members (driving drunk), you will lose your driver license. Abuse in an online community is rather comparable.
