hi dean if you can't solve your SSL-redirection problem you can try it with mod_proxy. proxy roles are quite easy. some people say it is also quicker than rewrite rules. therefore if you want to go that way i can send you my httpd.conf containing the standard proxy-SSL config. oliver erlewein
