However, I can't get in to fix it, since all URLs under /foo/bar redirect to /foo/bar/index_html, including /foo/bar/manage_workspace (and /foo/bar/zot/manage_workspace redirects to /foo/bar/zot/index_html, etc)!

it reminds me of something weird in the internet explorer a year ago. you couldn't edit via the zmi, everything became index_html does this happen with netscape or opera or some other browser too? may be it is just a browser thing.
