[Zope] import or export counter intuitive ?

ok so I am trying to export a folder using import/export I give an export id and click on export and I get an exception however if i give an import file name and click on export I get a filename.zexp in the var dir. Isn't this rather confusing. Do import and export have their own zopish meanings ? I am seeing really weird stuff in 2.1.4 cant wait to upgrade to 2.1.6 -- ########################## necessity is the mother of invention ##########################
