[Zope] newbie question: execute permission denied for "python" upon install

Apologies if this is too trivial a question: When executing ./install (on a unix machine), I get the following error message. ".../Zope-2.3.2-linux2-x86-/bin/python: 0403-006 Execute permission denied" Now, I did a chmod 755 on python, but the error message persists. Any clues? birgit
