Red Carpet is Ximian's new "update" utility. It runs on Gnome, but also updates applications and Linux distros. I tried it, and thought it was very nice. I will be one of the update services comperable to Red Hat's Up2Date and Eazel's software maintenance service. That's my understanding of it, anyway. I guess the question applies to the Eazel service as well. Maybe they (Ximian/Eazel) do the work, I'm not sure. -Don -----Original Message----- From: Andy McKay [mailto:andym@ActiveState.com] Sent: Monday, February 26, 2001 4:02 PM To: donald.braman@yale.edu; zope@zope.org Subject: Re: [Zope] Adding Zope to Red Carpet Alright I'll bite, whats Red Carpet? -- Andy McKay. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Donald Braman" <donald.braman@yale.edu> To: <zope@zope.org> Sent: Saturday, February 24, 2001 10:19 AM Subject: [Zope] Adding Zope to Red Carpet
Is the Zope team working on adding Zope to Red Carpet? If I could add a Zope channel with the various Zopey things I need, I'd be tickled pink. Just checking. -Don
