Yes, I fixed this with this patch in the "start" script: add this line somewhere before the line exec'ing Z2.py: ... export STUPID_LOG_FILE=${PYTHONHOME}/var/stupidfile.log ... Of course, the zope process owner (typically "nobody") should have write access to STUPID_LOG_FILE. You could perhaps "export STUPID_LOG_FILE=/dev/null" if you don't care about it.
