Steffen This happens when you rename the Zope directory after installation. The stop script has a hardcoded directory in it. If you edit the stop script and change the old directory name to the new one all works as expected. Hello there,
something's strange with my zope. I am running zope as my personal
zope-user (at least I have started it this way) but I don't get any pid if I say "ps -a".
try 'ps aux' (on linux at least). Any other platform, who knows.
And I cannot stop the server because the script tells me kill: xxxx - no
such pid? What's wrong with it??
I don't know.
Is there any additional flag I have to set or unset in the
standard-scripts?
No, but certainly your Zope is running with a PID, it must be. Go to the control panel, you should absolutly get the right pid there.
