RE: [Zope] Re: Java re-invents DTML :-)

Dropping support that features that a lot of people use is about the best possible way to drive users away from a platform or a vendor. As somebody who uses DTML and python and has invested a lot of effort in a couple of sites, the loss of DTML would utterly persuade me to jump ship to some other more stable approach than Zope. I won't argue the pros and cons of TAL versus DTML except to say that in some ways DTML is more readable and readily comprehensible than TAL for developers with no prior Zope background. Greg
