Hi Ron. Just a guess, but how about having the tree tag pass in the the current level as an argument to the same SQL method, then have the SQL method adapt itself based on the argument? Remember that an SQL method can embed logic and act like an object using DTML. For instance: <!--#if "level==1"--> select ... <!--#elif "level==2"--> select ... etc. --Paul
