[Good explanation of the difficulty of parsing the current DTML syntax, and a more modern alternative to that syntax] If this is all that stands in the way of user-friendly tools for editing DTML, I'd suggest a change in syntax - either a backards-compatible one or one that could be automaticaly translated easily.
