ZODB. :-)
However, what the best RELATIONAL database is, is a matter of personal taste. I'm quite fond of Oracle and MS SQL server myself.
I am partial to SQL Anywhere, myself. It takes virtually no administration, you can back up a database by just copying one database file, and it has a good optimizer. It is not available for all platforms, though, mostly Windows and a few Unix flavors. Cheers, Tom P
