if you plan to build Zope from source (but also in any other case), the doc/INSTALL.txt says: "bash or another Bourne shell variant Python 2.3.2 or later installed somewhere in the system PATH GNU make A C compiler (gcc recommended)" sometings, reading helps :-)) Bernd
