[Zope] Users

Hello, i have a lot of doubts about users login: i want to add a privilege field (integer) to every user of my system and then check if they can access single files checking it. How i can add this type of extra informations to the user record (i'm using the default user folder)? And how i can change this information without entering the manage mode of zope? Thanks!
