[Zope] Java applet with inner classes causing probs in Zope

Hello all, The problem is that inner classes have names like "Parent$Inner.class" I'm unable to create a Zope file object with a name that includes the dollar sign. However, the applet won't function without it. Has any one overcome this? Yes, the applet functions properly when served from apache (but I need to serve it from Zope).
