Zope produces now an ETAG header that should solve the problem. Ensure that you use the latest versions. Hey Luis, If I remember, I think I searched the list archives and someone said something about a tag that was not being passed from Word to Zope.Supposely there was a fix in the CVS repository. I downloaded it and it still would retrieve the Word document as read only. Joseph
Did you ever get a reply to your query??
I too would like to hear the answer.
I believe there is a problem with the webdav standard and M$ implementation -- I just think that zope is standard and not M$ and we happen to be caught in the middle.

Thanks for your response Andreas, Could you tell me where I can view the latest WebDAV workarounds? Joseph
Ensure that are using the latest Zope version with the latest WebDAV workarounds for Office 2K.

I tried to use it, but it failed on my Linux server using windows 98/xp clients. It seems half-baked at best.
Regards, Luis.

Ewww....
Apart from the horrible HTML that word generates, the fact it'll probably trash any TAL you put in, the fact that M$ appeared to confuse the WebDAV spec with some proprietary M$ protocol.
Why not use a real HTML editor?
cheers,
Chris
