What archiver are you using? I'm guessing you're talking about some product I wrote, all of which are "tar.gz" files, not "zip" files. WinZip can read them, however.

I've seen this problem before. ie mangles the file name and winzip doesn't seem to like .tar.gz extensions (i think?) . just rename it with .tgz extension and winzip will be happy. Cheers Kapil
